Florida Law prohibits an employer from retaliating against an employee that “blows the whistle” or objects to an employers’ violation of a law, rule, or regulation. Florida Law also prohibits an employer from retaliating against any employee that has testified at any investigation, hearing, or inquiry into an alleged violation of a law, rule, or regulation by the employer. Lastly, Florida prohibits an employer from retaliating against an employee that discloses or threatens to disclose a policy or practice that violates a law, rule, or regulation.
